Help with JavaScript


You must have JavaScript enabled in your browser to use preciseNews®.


To see if you have JavaScript enabled, please click this button:
  • If JavaScript is enabled, a message box will appear that says "You currently have JavaScript enabled and can use preciseNews!"

  • If JavaScript is not enabled, no message box will appear.
    To use preciseNews®, you will need to enable JavaScript on your browser.

To enable JavaScript, please
follow these steps for the browser you use:

Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or higher)

  • Select the Tools menu
    Select Internet Options
    Select the Security tab
    Click the Custom Level button
    Scroll down to Active Scripting within the Scripting category (you may need to expand the Scripting category by double-clicking its icon)
    Click the Enable button
    Click the OK button to accept the values of the settings dialogue
    Click OK to save the Internet Options settings
    Click the Refresh button on your browser

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or higher)

  • Select the Tools menu
    Select Internet Options
    Select the Security tab
    Click the Custom Level button
    Scroll down to Active Scripting within the Scripting category (you may need to expand the Scripting category by double-clicking its icon)
    Click the Enable button
    Click the OK button to accept the values of the settings dialogue
    Click OK to save the Internet Options settings
    Click the Refresh button on your browser

  • Macintosh Internet Explorer (version 5.1 or higher)

  • Click on Edit
    Click on Preferences
    Expand Web Browser
    Click on Web Content
    In the Active Content box, click on Enable Scripting
    Click Okay
    Click the Refresh button on your browser

  • Netscape (version 6.1 or higher)

  • Select the Edit menu
    Select Preferences
    Select Advanced
    Click the Enable JavaScript for Navigator checkbox
    Click OK to update Preferences
    Click the Reload button on your browser

  • Netscape Communicator (version 4.76 or higher)

  • Select the Edit menu
    Select Preferences
    Select Advanced
    Click the JavaScript checkbox
    Click OK to update Preferences
    Click the Reload button on your browser

  • Macintosh Netscape (version 6.2 or higher)

  • Click on Edit menu
    Click on Preferences
    Click on Advanced
    Click on Enable Javascript for Navigator
    Click Okay
    Click the Refresh button on your browser

  • America Online (version 7.0)

  • Select the Settings menu
    Select Preferences
    Select Internet Properties(WWW)
    Select the Security tab
    Click the Custom Level button
    Scroll down to Active Scripting within the Scripting category (you may need to expand the Scripting category by double-clicking its icon)
    Click the Enable button
    Click the OK button to accept the values of the settings dialogue
    Click OK to save the Internet Options settings
    Click the Refresh button on your browser
