Barack Obama put his flag pin back on today.

He's in South Dakota with Tom Daschle and held a town hall meeting where he chose to address the charge he's an appeaser when it comes to his proposed policy that the US sit down and negotiate with the world's greatest despots and terrorists.

Afterwards Steve Murphy, Democrat Strategist, clarified Obama's position.

Obama is not seeking to meet with Maddie because he holds no power in Iran.

According to Murphy, it's the Grand Ayatollah whom Obama desires to meet and negotiate US + Israel's surrender with - since the Mullahs in Iran are the ones who hold power there, not Ahmadinejad.

In speech today, Obama often seemed disjointed. His remarks on Iran were accompanied by talk about folks in small town America that seemed particularly out of touch and a desperate attempt to try and reconnect with rural America.

What's made the Democrat race become so boring is that the distinctions between Mrs. Bill Clinton and Obama are slight. Hillary! scoffs at meeting with any of the terrorists but otherwise succumbs to the agenda of the left. This is a fairly hollow debate.

What could make the fall election campaign more interesting is that McCain is not proving to be another corridor in the echo chamber and this round of debate seems to indicate that the Obama campaign, while good (exceptional) in the primaries, may not be up to the task.

Which is probably why Hamas has already made its selection known.
